I can understand what's is irritating you but then it's an unfair world and in this so called free world - everyone is right- So let everyone have there two minutes of fame
BTW i think my image was worth 9.5 and the voters are doing a great injustice by rating it so low - i dont care i knw its worth ( just having my share of rant!)
just hit the 20% mark in voting, and plan to continue. despite what I expected from the comments in this thread, I didn't see a large number of images that are not low key. Yes, there were two or three of them, but out of 75 pics, that's not a high percentage.
So far, there are some very nice pics on this challenge, and there are some uninteresting ones as well. And a couple of stunners. I am looking forward to voting on them all.

How come even with a score as low as this, I have no comments after 50 votes? How are people supposed to learn what they did wrong if no one comments why they are giving it a 3,2, or 1..... And no my photo is not of a cat either.

I find it harder telling people why I didnt like their pics and gave them a low point, then to tell people that they have a good shot, and so I normaly only coment on the pics I like (I wouldnt want to insult someone by telling him that I think his pic is boring or bad)
A voter commented that in their opinion, my entry wast not low key. I was convinced it was so spent a good hour on the internet searching for low key information and I consistently came across pictures of low key histograms, which look EXACTLY like the histogram for my entry. Strange! But that's okay, I am more than happy with my entry. So much so, that I have made postcards out of it and sent them to friends and family:-)

I do understand your position on commenting. I must say I am also guilty of this from time to time as well. It is just something that grabs your attention in the photo that sticks out as something unlikable in the image. With that being said, it is hard to learn from a low scoring image without a comment or 2 to steer in the right direction.
