Right now I've dropped to around 4.89
Seems like a lot of people don't have the same humor as I do or I should perhaps have given my pic a different title. Or perhaps my idea wasn't expressed as clear as I thought. But we're here to learn, aren't we?

That's an interesting question. I bet the admins. could calc. that easily.
In the Off Center challenge I finished 4th and out of the top 10 mine was the only one with any ones. Not a complaint just an observation; I'm rather pleased actually, as I would have been happy receiving my normal scores in the low 5s.

You can't, but if you're really mathematical you can work out what your last vote recieved was by comparing your new score to your old score and taking into account the number of votes etc etc. I dunno exactly how but I'm sure someone can enlighten us...

I don't understand how you can get a lot of 1 and 10. I only give a 1 if the picture doesn't met the challenge and is very bad. How do these people vote? How can a photo that is very good with a lot of 10 get a 1?
Good question indeed. But since this site is about, and now don't get me wrong!, amateur photography, the voting too has to be considered amateurish.
There are some obvious pictures that nearly everybody likes and therefore get good scores. But there may be other shots that are more artistic or special that a lot of people can't connect to or don't understand and therefore those get a lower score. So the voting is relative ...
I only give 1's if the picture is completely off-topic in my eyes.
It's pretty easy to caluclate how much you got for your last score.
For example, in my case I had 6.1604 with 268 votes
Thats a total of 6.1604 x 268 = 1651 pts
My next score was 6.1636 with 269 votes or put another way
6.1636 x 269 = 1658
So if my mathematics are correct, the difference is 1658 - 1651
So my last score was a 7.
I've done this a couple of times and come up with 10, 1, 3, 7, 8, 9, 6, 5 are my last few votes (Now I just need a 2 and a 4 to get the whole set !!)

Multiply your last score by the number of voters. Then by trial and error work it backwards to figure out you latest vote. Say you had 10 votes and an average vote of 8. That would equal 80. If someone then gave you a 1 your score would drop to 7.3636. 2...7.4545...3....7.5455............8.....8.0000

BTW, this won't always work, it can get thrown off if someone changes a previous vote. You won't know, since the vote total does not change.
By the way, I've noticed that the term 'picture' is never used on this site. I don't have any real objection to it, so why isn't it used?
I use it sometimes, particularly if a sentence uses the term twice. I also use the term image. I think people subconsciously associate "taking pictures" to snapshots, a term which also has a negative connotation in the world of Art Photography.
"Picture" may be harder for some folks to type. "Pics" is a nice shorthand without some of the emotional baggage of the full term which I use in more personal communications, but don't confuse it with the PICT file format ....

This really made me laugh generalE. I like the term picture and it's shortened pic, better than photograph and photo but I don't use it since people take offense to it. I love the word image. It's great.
