could someone who was there Saturday who were using the 70-200 2.8 IS with 2x TC please point out which images they took using this setup. I am looking at buying a TC and just want to see the quality etc. If anyone has a 100% crop as well that would be great.

I will post one - but it will not be in my portfolio! No contrast, a razorthin focussing zone and a moving subject meant no useable images (especially since we later figured that we could zoom with our feet far more effectively).

Yeah I saw the later shots where you got REAL close, would of been great to get that close first thing in the morning. Pity I had to go, but I work all week, dont see much of the kids so wanted to spend some of the weekend with them.
Would love to do it again, however as the mornings are getting lighter it would mean earlier and earlier starts..
Alex says that Autumn is a great time for light, coloursand the deer activity etc so might be worth getting back there late this year.
Aparently (last time I went there was 1975) Knebworth House and Park have A lot of Wild Deer roaming around there.. I am DEFINATELY going to get up there soon I might post a thread when I get more INFO about it Everyone, of cause, are invited to join. Im sure Alan will be along and another friend of mine will be up for it... Yeh I know "bloody Deer again" but it's different surroundings and a good excuse to get out with the crew and shoot.
The Forest park is open all year round but the house and gardens open in March.
as i'm a newbie to all this (2 months), any comments and tips for improvement would be appreciated.

As a general comment, quite a few of them have quite a central subject matter - a stronger rule of thirds composition might have worked for a few of them. Punching up the contrast and colour might help add a bit of drama/lighting where it is a bit dull.
