Ok I am in and I think Asim and Justa are leading the charge. Anyone have experience creating this team stuff?
I looooooooooooove Motley Crew - that is perfect since we all most likely have different backgrounds and experience. And Team Newbie forces us to think like newbies for a whole year. Who wants to be limited like that? ;o)
So I say stick with Motley Crew unless there are major objections!

We're mostly 5 year olds soon to be turning into 6-7 year olds, Avg. pointwise, that is. So If we didn't get our ribbons there's plenty of room (and enthusiasm) for getting them.

I had seen it mentioned somewhere else that ideally you are supposed to submit two pictures which I am assuming means entering two challenges? I am not a paying member (yet - goal for next year) so I can only enter one a week. Or am I misunderstanding something here?
you can submit up to two pictures a week, the best score is used. if you are not a paying member, then you can submit to a maximum of one a week. there are wpl teammembers that are not members, it just limits the number of challenges that can be entered. the more challenges that one enters, the better the chance for the team and thus attempts at two serious entries per week are encouraged
since we are hitting (or surpassing) the 7 mark, i think we should keep going. instead of closing off at 7 and leaving people hanging, we should keep adding to the list. at the end, we could see if we have room for two complementary teams, that can both support and encourage each other and at the same time challenge each other. i will PM across the board and compile a list of email addresses and such. this should be fun!

I think i am going to end up as a 1, 4.6859 or close to that by the end of the AA challenge, so, there are my stats :D hehe
Wanted to add - there seems to be enough for another team too. Just a thought if someone wants to take the lead for another team.
If we have room for two teams (which would be great), I think that bird and justamistere are good choices as captains. If bird can't be reached in time, or isn't interested, I would be willing to serve as a captain. In that case, we can recruit 14 members, and then the captains could divide into two groups.

Sorry for not being completely in on what's going on here, guys. It's a busy time for me right now, flying back to Tokyo in 12 hours!

The Captain has arrived. If you don't want to be a captain I would be glad to do it. Great to see your response NerdJNerdBird. I've been to Canada last weekend thru Tuesday so I know what it's like to be busy.

I think he/she means that none of the people in this thread will be chosen... just Blue Moon and Oscarmeyer everyone else that was chosen came from outside and signed up...
i remain enthusiastic about WPL4, and am interested in joining a group of others who are excited and dedicated. i'll watch eagerly as this unfolds... however the team(s) come together, i'd like to be involved. to avoid the "too many cooks" problem, i'm going to defer to bird's word, and following that to justamistere. hopefully we'll know more by tomorrow...
justa - it looks like you are running a team without nerdbird, blue moon, and oh darn one other name I cannot remember.
I am throwing a wrench into the pile because I asked my friend, PhotoInterest, if she would like to do this and it does not look like we can squeeze her onto the list. I think with me out of it, you would have enough people to run a team.
So how about if I jump out of this group, start another thread - and see if I can catch people that way? And if I don't get enough people, then c'est la vie - it was not meant to be.
