I think people are too worried about the "Helpful Comments" statistic on their profiles. Until they remove this from public view, people are not going to be honest on their comments. I suggest making that particular stat private to the user logged on.
An old corporate saying: "How you measure me is how I will behave".
I think people just like to give low scores. They dont want to tell you anything other then they just dont like your pic and the voting score shows that.

I posted a helpful negative comment and got a personal message about how bad I am. That pissed me off. It wasn't helpful eventhough "Beautiful"-comments were helpful. The "find helpful" is a useless function, used in a wrong way.

If its the comment that I think it is I probably wouldnt have checked it helpful either. I dont think I would have PMed you but the box would remain empty.
