Right, I've finished voting and I thought I'd make 6 my "average" for this challenge as there is a spate of low voting going on. It may help compensate, who knows?
Yup...scores seem low: there MUST be some high scorers out there.. but my score is not moving - it shifts between a 5.4444 and 5.445...and I'm up to 134 votes now...so it would seem that there is a consensus out there among voters:). For me it's pretty consistent.
I've voted more highly than usual for the past few challenges because it's better to be extreme with voting if you want yours to count, but I've finished voting on this set now, so if your score didn't go up then I'm afraid I can't help you ;)
My score's on 4.79.., seriously threatening to break 4.8 if the current trend continues. I've had a lot of comments and most of them point out the very real technical problems with the picture. Now does that make it better or worse?
What I want to know, for this challenge and all others, is why some people take such great joy in offering a dnmc comment, when the image clearly meets the challenge criterion. Believe me, I have an image that completely, and with vigor, meets the challenge.
There should be a way of sending some kind of electric shock through the internet to those who are antagonists and morons.

haha very good, mine has them screwed because you have to look at the image for more than the time it taked to click on 5 to undersand how it meets the challenge!
This challenge has proven to be my all-time worst showing to date - in the mid 4's....uggg....I thought I had a pretty catchy take on the challenge theme (which I think I accomplished)...but the shot doesn't seem to appeal to the voters. Unfortunately, I tend to agree in hind sight. : (
