there are two OPEN challenges each week in which REGISTERED (non-paying) users may enter one or the other, but not both.
And as you can see from the main page there are also other challenges going on at the same time in which members (paying) users can enter. On top of the member challenges, members can also participate in the OPEN challenges - again, one or the other, but not both.
Make sure you read the challenge submission rules for Basic Editing/Open challenges carefully before entering a challenge.
