Don't be. It's tough to stand out from 400+ entries when you can't even use the impact of color, and good B&W conversion presents its own set of challenges. I would expect this challenge to be on the low-scoring side, with a few abnormally high scores at the beginning as people cherry-pick those with particular impact. The really high scores should moderate and the middle scores will tend to rise over the week.
6.1 is my personal best and that was 20th place my highest and I really think this entry kicks that entry's but ..... but there are 400+ entries hard to judge or compare.

With a 7 at 49 votes, you may drop down into the high-6 range in the next 12-24 hours, but then you'll get a slow rise over the week and finish comfortably over 7. Probably a top 10- congrats!
Worth another prediction. With a 7.8 after 52 votes, you'll probably tack on another point and several wish lists over the week, at which time Langdon will find some reason to DQ you for beating DPC's top score. The entry will be removed, memories erased, witnesses relocated, and it'll be as if you never entered. ;-)

What's up with the high scores? The last Black & White II challenge had a high score of about 6.8. Are the entries that much better with all the 7+ scores, or have the voters relaxed a bit?

Some very lovely photo's in this challenge. I have been commenting all morning and still at only 20% commented on. Trying to spend a little time really looking at them.
Anyway hanging at around 6 all day and happy with that!
