I've got excellent positive comments from several people whose work I admire on here, so my score is no longer relevant! But I was quite surprised this morning to wake up to a 6.2ish sort of number ;-)
weird, I get a super-positive comment, and my score drops with 0.1
are people being honest while voting & commenting?
yeah that happens to me too. Sometimes someone will say they give me a certain score than I do the math and its different than what they said. Its possibly someone else is bumping you down at the same time. I'm not sure how likely that is but it is possible. I try not to jump to any conclusions about peoples honesty and just take it for what it is. but it does make my wonder sometimes.
Happened to me a few times, twice with the same poster. The only thing I can say is I rarely comment with the vote. I usually vote and then go back and comment. In which case, I could be leaving a comment at the same time somebody is giving a low vote.
Been up and down, but so far, I can say I am pretty ecstatic about my score so far... I never expected it to be up there. So far, I'm looking at a new PB!

I've received a couple of comments saying my entry doesn't say "morning" very well or it could have been taken any time of day. I'd say that same comments apply to 95%+ of the entries.

I'm scoring 6+ so I'm fairly pleased.
Hmm... I haven't voted yet, but I did see a lot of thumbs that didn't really say "morning" to me. For what it's worth, my entry was shot at about 4:30pm and there's nary a DNMC comment to be seen.
I have to say that I have gotten two of the most retarded comments on my image.. I can't go into details because it would reveal my photo BUT events CAN happen at all times of the day.. MORNING included.
down some but still decent. I work up at like 4 and drove over an hour for this shot. I was hoping for a ribbon while processing it but there are some very good shots here.
