Hmmm I think this is where Nasti and I paid to use the washroom in the wee hours of the morning after wandering around the streets of Amsterdam all night... ~Adone was sleeping peacefully in the extreme heat of the car in the parking garage~ lol
They had very nice attendants in the washroom who were kind enough to let us out the mens side after we had gotten in. Kinda like Hotel California you can check out anytime you like but you can never leave...

Yeah, I will probably be walking alone at some point talking aloud with strangers around me looking like I'm crazy. Only then do I discover that "the group" has stopped 15 minutes earlier to shoot some piece of crap on the street while I wasn't paying attention.
We are sure obsidian will find a wonderful restaurant, but in case he needs help, last time we went to Amsterdam (last october) we had dinner in a wonderful restaurant called Tempo doeloe. It's a indonessian restaurant, I don't know if you like this kind of food, but we enjoyed it a lot. It's a not very big place, so I suppose it needs to be booked.

Indonesian is exactly what Carl was going to look for I believe.
Seriously, we have to see with how many we end up for dinner and the time we are going the eat is not clear yet. So I will not book in advance. That could end in a restaurant hunt, but that's part of the fun.
Another Indonesian option in the center is "Kantjil & de Tijger" at the Spui and inexpensive. But there are also a lot of nice restaurants in the Jordaan. Enough options, we'll see.

I arrive Thursday at 20h00 at the train station so if it is open Friday - looks as though it is 12h00 - 20h00 - could be a good wet weather trip! Thanks for the tip...
