I know this has been beaten to death, but I'd rather have people who vote 20% and comment on every one of those pictures instead of people who try to vote 100% and leave no comments.
I don't think a histogram has anything to do with perception. Mine is scoring decently at 5.6something and has a histogram that looks more like a gently sloping bell curve after adjusting the contrast by about +65. The emphasis is definitely in the highlights and shadows and the histogram doesn't explain that at all.

I also agree with you CVette.
Part of the problem is the number of images these days. You are really "WOWED" by the higher ranked ones, so you say something about them, while passing by the lower scores, unless something really jumps out at you to correct, or critique. Many people hardly have time to vote much less comment. I do understand your frustration, but I figure, if I'm below 5... forget getting much in the comment department unless, like me, you have some giving you 10's and others giving you 1's and 2's. ROFL

Good you didn't pull out! I've fallen somewhat since last night but i know not to get googley eyed over a strong number after 10 votes. Settled nicely into 6.3xxx today, hope it holds. Only 44 votes so far though.
