Might be stuck using my point and shoot for the day, anyone have an extra DSLR they're willing to lend me? Yes, I have looked into renting, but I probably am going to pass on that as I would rather put the money into actually buying a camera.
I'll gladly toss some money towards this, whatever's necessary (you can pay me back after your first paid gig). Do keep in mind though that a lense should be rented as well. Ya I've got three of them which you can usually borrow but only one of those is really useful at capturing giraffe ears and other such oddities so I will likely be hogging that.
pick up the rentals the night before after 5 (4:30 at vistek). I've done this every time and with unfamiliar gear it's been a lifesaver for I'm at a shoot using it. Most of the time.
OK, sounds good, so any idea what time we should meet? I prefer sleep, but obviously don't want to start too late, so I am willing to start at around 9:30.
Ditto. I'm thinking stay there until 1:30 or eat there and leave around 2:30 and hit Millenium hoping some skaters show. I'd like to have something more for sure for the second half of the day.

unfortunately I'm shooting a wedding out in Priddis that day. This is (thankfully) my last one of the year as far as I know, so my time will free up substantially after that. Mebbe we'll get time to do one in October before the snow flies.

I can cancel the rental no problem. But it's a pain to reschedule my Saturdays on anything less than a week. I've already made arrangements for next sat. I'd rather redo in October but I'm not too sure which weekend.

ok. so I just thought of an issue. I won't be able to make an october weekend date, as I work weekends in Oct. So... Let's just do 2, one this saturday, even if it's a small turn-out, then you guys can do one in October without me.
