Well - I expect my score to drop much lower today just to stay in sync with my other recent entries. I wonder if the lack of humor in my shot is hurting me.
I have just realized my thumbnail looks so much more cooler than the actual pic. People probably vote me down due to disappointment. And thats why so little voting in comparison to viewing.

Go to your 'Preferences' page and tick the selection 'Show Scores'. Pretty sure it's on the right-hand side of the preferences page. Scores will show under your thumbnail image on the home page.
Agreed. I know mine sucks, but it's more into the stupid stupid area than technically great shot. But then again, I don't think any of my shots can be considered "technically great".
I also didn't vote this challenge on whether they were great shots, but whether I thought it was something stupid or not.

I think this one and the self portrait competitions are the worst competitions I have seen on this site EVER
In some of these challenges I think people get bogged down in meeting the challenge and forget that the photo has to have merit on its own regardless of the challenge. I think that is what is happening in this challenge. There are a lot of entries that just are not very good photographs.
Mine is a decent shot, but you have to think about the "stupid" apsect, so I think I am losing some people on that. My mid 5 score with positive comments on the shot is bearing that out.
IMHO I think the self-portraits challenge had some very good images. Just look at mine!
Seriously though, the top 10 in that challenge were awesome

That's a bummer. Yes, creativity is important (that's where subject selection comes in), but this is a photography site and the challenge entry should be a good, solid image in addition to being creative or interesting to look at.
Also, I thought there were many, many, creative writers in this challenge with very funny titles, but the connection to the challenge was primarily in the title rather than the image.
hehe, ah well. I had a feeling it wasn't going to do well, not because I think it's a bad image, but it's a bit of a reach in interpretation. Hopefully I get some good comments:)

i'd have to agree, it seems some people put so much into the stupid part and forgot about technicals. I did find a fave though and I commented on all the ones i voted on so far, but dont look for me i'm a baggie!

lol! yeah... I had thought about doing the camera self portrait, and then submitting it to the Stupid Stupid challenge... I figured some might think it was funny (those that thought the camera self portrait was "stupid", and those that would find my entering the "wrong" challenge stupid)... but didn't do it cause I thought someone else might... lol
