Hey Coloradians (and otherwise). The balloon classic is coming up on us again. //balloonclassic.com/ I know I'll be attending, anyone else? Last year was great, had a blast and got some good shots.
Normally, I'd be in for it, but my family will be in town for the holiday weekend that weekend, and dragging them out of bed at 3AM to get down there and get the shots that I want probably isn't going to happen very well. But I bookmarked the page, and will look forward to it next year.
This looks like a ton of fun..I just might make it down for that weekend. I have always wanted to take pictures of those hot air balloons. I'll keep looking in here to see who all is going.
I love their photo contest...with digitally enhanced section. Should it matter? What about darkroom enhanced? too funny!! But then again it is another category to win.
I'd recommend if you enter the photo contest to not do the digital category unless you're going to do something like a selective desat or a crazy cloning job.
Okies - looks like a fair amount of interest in this, I know for sure I'll be there monday morning for the big launch. I'm still trying to decide on which evening to go to the Balloon Glow. The problem with events like this is if you want to actually meet up with anyone it's nigh impossible because of the seeming 9 billion people milling about. I'll try to get out to the park sometime this week and do some Recon =D
