Im still trying out different things, but I think I enjoy being a Nature Photographer the most. But the weddings, senior portraits, etc.. bring in the money for the filters, lenses...
One of those 24 digital pictures a second filmmakers (aka video) who is doing still photography in order to become better at visualizing images for directing and cinematography and who mostly just takes candids of his cats and tries to make his friends feel beautiful. Erm, type of photographer.
I guess I'd be called a "collector" type of photographer. I don't sit there for hours on end examining the shot. I take it and run to the next thing. :)
I don't think I have a style yet. I shoot anything and everything. I guess I'm kind of ok at shooting everything, and not particularly great at any one thing. Maybe I should start focusing more on something specific instead of spreading myself around so much? I do wish I had a recognizable style though.
I am a "not ever completly satisfied" photographer. I like images of nature, scenic and my dogs. I have no idea what catagory that would be in.
I gota learn that from you...
I guess I'm the complete opposite..
I tend take time to "enjoy" what I've shot...
Then derive the top of the world feeling from what I've shot...
Following which ... boost my ego by self praise...
Most people don't seem to be taking the original question "seriously", which is totally fine :-) Those that DO take it seriously seem to be mostly classifying themselves by their preferred subject, so to speak, which I find a little strange. That makes sense, up to a point, for a professional photographer, but not for an amateur IMO.
If it were me, I'd chick the whole question and replace it with "How would you define the way you see?"
I'm more interested in whether people consider themselves literal or figurative, conscious or unconscious, structural vs found (built images vs captured images) and so forth.
