There are times when I need a little help choosing which pic to submit, but I don't publicize it to everyone (posting it in the forum hangs it out for everyone to see). Usually, I private message or email one person whom I respect that they will still vote fairly....besides, one person isn't going to sway all the votes.
I believe having the annonymity is important - makes it more interesting..I like to try to guess which is setz's pic.
