Juxtaposition is an act or instance of placing two things close together or side by side. This is often done in order to compare/contrast the two, to show similarities or differences, etc.

So, if there is ANY color in the B&W in color, do you think the image would tank even though the description says, "..PRIMARILY by the layering or juxtaposition of objects that are black and white?"

If I submit to that one, I probably won't risk that. As a voter, I think it would depend for me on the shot - if you've gotten creative with black and white objects and the color is in there for a good reason, I probably won't mind it, but otherwise I probably would not like it as much.
I found the original thread that suggested these two challenges, and, IMHO, it seems to make more sense, and is more easily understood, than the current descriptions (before re-writing). But I am still at a loss as to why the need for Advanced rules in Open challenges. I think both of these could have been done in Basic.
