I will be demanding perfect symmetry. For example, in the castle picture posted earlier there are more ducks on one side than the other which totally ruins the symmetry for me.

Seriously, I think (or rather I hope) that outdoor shots especially will be given quite an easy ride. The castle quite obviously is very symmetrical, and the ducks are out of the photographers control. It would have made a great entry.
Studio shots might get a harder time. We will have to wait and see.
I hear ya there bod. Living in a dusty town with no cool shots leaves me to the studio shots. Just look at my bridge shot.Acrophobia Therapy If it wasn't for the fencing I wouldn't have been able to submit. Hey I just noticed my bridge picture is symmetry, right?

Sonifo, yeah that'd work for me. In fact if you lie down on the bridge you'll probably get a really cool shot with just the sky as a background. Erm, you'll prolly get a really cool butt as well with that snow, so maybe not such a good idea!
My picture is of a symmetrical subject, but now I'm thinking that I should have done a symmetrical composition instead. Unfortunately, I had to send my camera in for repair and can't reshoot. I also won't get to enter the next challenge or two so I might just have to submit anyway. I like participating too much to sit out even when I probably should. *sigh*
I'd actually think that reflections are perfectly fine to use.

I know everyone will look down on (hate) me, but I'm a new photography coming into dpc with no past photography experience.
I currently think the winners should be right on the mark to the topic. I vote first looking at the topic in relation to the photo.
Closely second, is the composition of the photo. This will be my 3rd entry and this is my first time interest in photography.
I will propably change my mind later, but right now this is my stand.
I know I will not always follow my stand since a good photo is a good photo whether it follows the topic or not.
