I can't seem to get one here, but at the hospital I work at they're having their annual photography contest. There are 4 categories: People, Scenic, Animal, and non-U.P. (other). I entered 5 pics - 3 in scenic, one in animal, and one in non-U.P.
Yesterday the judges, a panel picked from the community, judged the photos and today they went on display for the people's choice awards.
This morning after I got off work I decided to go look at all the photos and vote on the people's choice. As I walked through the door, the first thing I saw was the 1st place judges winner for scenic....and it was one of mine!!! That means I won a $100 gift certificate and my photo will be hung in the hospital in my own department. I am so excited! There was some real tough competition - a total of approx 50 scenic images alone.

I could still win one of the people's choice awards too but won't know until tomorrow or Friday.

Well, I am SO NOT surprised!!! That photo is a prize winning photo in every sense of the word!!! Congratulations!!! And yes, please keep us posted on how the rest of it goes, okay???
