Some hero just gave me a 1, no comment left either. I really don't think the photograph is a 1 scorer... for that, everything has to be wrong.
So here's the challenge... If giving a 1 or 2, at least have the testicular fortitude to say why.
Mate I just got a 1 vote as well and no comment. My average score at the moment is around 6 with 24 votes so I know my image doesn't deserve a 1 - What an absolute clown this person must be.

Don't worry about it. If they voted one on yours, they probably voted one on everyone else's.
It can't take that much time to vote 1 on everyone's image and one would assume that if this is their purpose that they wouldn't stop until they brought down the whole curve.

I didn't have time and got distracted by a very depressing and energy-draining phone call in the middle of my last-minute editing, so I burned out after just 14 out-takes (compared with nearly 200 on the last challenge). I decided to throw it in the mix just for the he1k of it.
First check - 3 votes - 4.00 avg.
Second check - 10 votes - 5.3...
Boy did I think that was funny. The last picture I submitted involved 10-15 times more effort. But scored 0.2 pts lower than this...
Sanity levels appear to be returning as my vote has now dipped below 5 to 4.983.
In the last hour and half, I've gotten seven more votes, averaging 4.7.
5.3 + 4.7 = 10.0 Right?
I don't usually complain, but come on, this shot is not a 4.7 or a 5.1. To me, the 5.3 was a little low. I was thinking more in the 5.5-5.7 range personally. But that's just me. If my Deja Vu scores less than a 5.8 (because I'm thinking it's a 6+), I think I'll take a break from DPC for a while.

I started out the best ever (Its is my best image for a challenge to date for sure) and now back to Middle land 5.5. Well I am at least very proud of my effort and I like very much! I guess thats all that counts.
Man, I feel so terrible. I just voted on 60% of the images and I felt I had to keep voting because I knew there were a bunch of really good images just around the corner.
Seriously, with a week to prepare, you would think that people would have done a little research as to what Low Key actually means. There were threads about it too.
Not only that, but I actually felt I needed to CTRL-C copy a note on using full image size.
I think I got like 5 pictures in a row that were significantly under-sized. After the first ten, I stopped right-clicking to report their actual image size.
Now, my image is no great shakes, and seems to be getting hard-hit here, (went from 5.000 to 4.839 in just a few minutes) but at least it's low-key. There has got to be some more thought that people put into their images.
I felt the need to put (not a 1) in some of my images because my comments indicated strong disapproval and there seems to be a pretty strong split in voting here.
The number of sub-4 votes that I handed out appalled me and I had to stop voting. Yikes. There goes my voting average.
Oh and I handed out one DNMC, but it was a joke for the guy who actually did shoot with the lens-cap on...
From some of the images I saw, 3.8 isn't going to be anywhere NEAR low enough for the brown.

Just curious, do you feel there is a real consensus about what low key means? I mean, one can view examples, but still be left feeling that there is some room (on the low end of the histogram) for interpretation. I didn't think that the threads here shed much light on the subject.
