I agree that it is difficult to see the details. Is it a common item that we will all know what it is? I am trying to think small. What room would it most likely be found in?

Back to the subject: I have another picture to show it's true size. If you're still wondering (I know you are), it's a safety tip for a pneumatic (compressed air) spray nozzle. The reason for the holes in the side is to keep you from literally blowing a hole through something (like your finger or hand). Instead of blasting your hand to pieces, the compressed air goes out the side holes.
