Consider the surgery succesful if all offending parts are cleanly removed and all essential parts remain in place and functional; that's my philosophy. Bonne chance, Leroi!
Still no word from Leroy on how the surgery went today. He had to be there real early so I would have thought the surgery would have been early too. I'll pass on any news I get as he was going to try and either email me or call when he got home. Hopefully he isnt too sore, or made to stay the night. Continue keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.
Linda,
I wouldn't worry too much about not hearing from him yet. He may just be too tired or on too many pain meds to be thinking straight. I know when I got out of surgery earlier this month I wasn't good for much of anything that day - I was so out of it I couldn't figure out where my hubby was taking me when we left the hospital until he told me! (Granted we had only moved to our new house the week before, but, still!)
He's probably fine, just too busy 'surviving' the rest of today to remember to get in touch with everyone he promised to!
And keep in mind too that the surgery time may have been delayed for him due to other surgeries over-running their time slots.
Hugs to you, Linda. I'm sure Leroy appreciates your friendship and support right now.

My Fiance' had out-patient surgery a year ago and still doesn't remember anything from the next two days they had her so medicated. I wouldn't worry, at this point he may not even be really sure who he is- hope somebody was picking him up from the hospital, otherwise he may just be roaming around wondering why he is craving cheese.
same thing with my sister...she stopped on the way home with my mom to get some hoagies, and she doesn't remember getting them or eating them or anything heh.

Yep - working in the hospital myself I realize he may be too doped up. I just didn't want everyone thinking I forgot to pass on any info. If I do hear anything I'll let you all know. Hopefully he'll be feeling better tomorrow and post here himself.
You guys are terrific. I'm not sure if he'll check his email or DPC before leaving for the hospital this morning, but I'm sure he'll feel all warm and fuuzy whenever he does see this. It's nice to see the DPC family reach out to each other.
Crayon certainly made him look fuzzy, if not warm. :P Here's wishing him the best. Hurry back man, we need more cheese!
