I have to work May 6th but with this much notice I should be able to find someone to swap with...I'll add it to my calendar. You can most likly add my wife (non DP participant) if that is ok, she likes to shoot but doesn't think she is any good (and needs a new camera but don't we all lol).
Absolutely, bring her along. My DH will probably be there at least at first, then he will join his climbing buddies.
So, it looks like May 6th is probably a good weekend and should be enough prep time.
Because I'm probably the farthest away, go with whatever weekend you all decide on. Early May, believe it or not, I am in a dance recital (no, I'm not a teenager, I'm an old lady), but I'm a goofball and I tap dance. So early May may either be my dress rehearsal or recital (or both!) Kentucky is beautiful and sometime I would like to join you all in a get-together there!

My hubby (DH - dear husband) says meet at Miguels. It is a local pizza place that all of the climber flock to and should be open at that time. But, we will talk details later.

Looks like we have a nice varity of cameras going too...couple canon's, 2 Oly's, a possible sony, nikons and did I see a panasonic on someone's list? I sure wish I could upgrade mine before this trip (it'd still be a Oly) but that income tax has to go to bills :(
I will be leaving Illinois Friday night as soon as the boss turns his head for too long (or 330 whichever comes first) and should hit Georgetown about 11 or midnight, so I'll have just enough time to snuggle the wife before my normal wake up at 6. If anyone is leaving from around Georgetown maybe we can meet and at least follow each other to it. It really isn't that far (feels farther from the parking lot up to the bridge than from home to there lol).

Oh man you made me laugh. I so remember that movie and song. I'm exited. Which Oly are you looking at for your upgrade. I am also looking at upgrading and it will be an other oly. I like the look of the new E-330. Hoping to make that happen by the beginning of April, so with any luck I too will have something new to play with.
alright I am more then likely in. Staying w/Teresa as long as hubby doesn't freak. A trip w/no kids!!! What will I shoot? LOL
Woohoo girl!!! Already talked to him and he says bring it on, but he is worried that with three shooters in the house (8 year old daughter has a digital kodak) that he may go blind from all of the flashes. LOL, he will survive, plus he will be out numbered.

I'd love that one too but wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth at any of their DSLRs. I just want something that gives me more options, I'm so tired of manually focusing with the little fricken buttons on the back lol.

Ok I say I want that one, but who knows if I have the money to get the E-500 and no patience, I may end up with it instead. But I want to believe I have the patience to wait it out. I know by the end of March I will have all of the projected cost of the E-330 plus enough to buy the longer lens as its kit only comes with the 14-45. We will see.
