ok sorry I have to vent... I thought I did a great job "capturing the essence of this radical decade." granted the picture isn't perfect... but I have a 15 yr old kid knocking it down saying it was his lowest score he ever gave. I would respect his opinion a bit more if he was at least 30, but for Pete's sake he wasn't even born in the 80's or before. His judgement is what he saw in the picture and not the picture in itself. *rolls eyes*

That's exactly why I'm not voting on this challenge. I was born in the 90s, so I really have no clue what the 80s styles were and that, or what was "hot" and "not". If I do vote though, I'll give everybody 10s, does that sound good? lol
I am thinking this is going to be a low scoring challenge. I haven't voted yet but I have looked at all the images and I really did not see anything that I think would end up with a final average score over 7.
I went pretty far outside the box in this challenge, so I am not surprized with my relatively low score. Actually, I am a bit surprized it is not lower given that two out of my four comments simply state that they don't get it :)
mine was rising in a slow but very pleasing manner until the fashion challenge went into voting :( looks like this is where I'll end up...oh well I think it is one of my better images as I really took the time to compose it and check lighting and such.
I agree GIS boy (Matt) - the bulk of the votes came in the first couple of days - and now just one vote every few hours or so. With that score of yours you should be looking at a ribbon! I don't think it will be a very high scoring challenge. I'm hoping to be in the top 20 (maybe)

oh yea - here's my update - it's pretty much stayed this way since the first day - it reached a 6.000 for a little bit on the second day but not since. It wants to be a 6 so bad!!!!!

I know! I've had entries where I'm lucky to get 2 comments all week!
All but 2 of the comments are pretty good also - mostly short and sweet. 2 of them "don't get it" which is fine - because 24 of them "do get it" LOL

Thanks for the ribbon comment - if only! They are so damn hard to get, I would be pretty surprised if I got one with 6.6 however. If I finish around the top 5 I will be very, VERY happy! There are some really good, clever and well executed images in this one.
I'm trying to work out which photo is yours but you have me stumped! Yeah, I switched to the 'bag head' a few days ago to avoid any potential drama during the voting period. ;)
