Not to start a battle, but I'm predicting a large number of DQs for this challenge. I didn't request any validations and voted all images as if they were totally legal, but I did see several with questionable editing.
I agree, there were some with questionable editing. In particular there were a couple that added a certain element to their image that I can't see as being legal even in advanced. If what I am refering to is not disqualified I feel that those people are getting away with an unfair advantage to draw more attention to their shot than is deserved.
I hope people dont think my shot was bumped up in post and are voting it low. That would make me feel better if that were the case rather than most just thinking my image sucked. Man I am bummed. My girl was my model and I wanted a little success or I may not get to use her again.
Gotta say that this is the fastest and furthest I've seen a score of mine fall in a challenge! Not yet a contender for the brown, but if it keeps up at the rate of change it's experienced in one day, I could be in negative numbers by the time voting closes. Now *that* would be interesting!!
I just saw my score get hit with a 1 0r 2...I have really got to stop watching this so closely on the first day. Those low votes make such a huge dent when the number of votes is low.
I would not be bummed by a 6.9 I would kill for a 6.9. Hell I would kill for one comment on why I keep getting 2 and 3's as I started out with 7.6 and now I am at 4.9 its killing me.
Please people if you are going to give 2-3-4 please leave a comment. It would help so much to learn why so one could improve.
I fully agree! I went from a 9.5 to 7.7 and when I woke this morning I was a 6.3. Luckily I'm holding steady at a 6.14, but I would like to know why. How can we get better if we don't know what we did wrong. It is my goal to comment on EVERY entry this challenge - to help others.
Amazed at the the amount my score dropped today. Would it be unreasonable to request that those folks who voted early in the challenge go back and vote again? I liked the early votes SO much better.
1-2-3 votes and still no comments on why. That is plain lame. To those who vote low and provide no comment as to why is, IMHO, impolite. The idea is to help the photog to learn. How can one do that without critique.
I don't post for score (yet) I post for the education, a low score tells me I need to improve but not how I can improve.

I think I know exactly what you are refering too, and all I can say is vote on the image on its photographic and challenge-meeting criteria, and if there is any question, simply refer the image to site counsil, and let them sort it out. :)
OK, I just finished voting and have commented on about 50%. I will try to comment on all before it closes because I didn't enter in this one but do have some experience in retail and fashion. I just hope my comments are taken in the manner in which they are intended....IMHO only!
I recived your comment in the challange and on my previous posted pic's. I found your comment very insight full and it showed that you have a great knowledeg of the subject of Fashion/Glamour photography. Since I'm still learning a lot, comments like your help the most in improving my future shoots. Thank you again.

I just started doing the kind of stuff I like now and not specifically for DPC, and my scores show it too, but not to worry, it is showing me two different worlds.
