I would loved to have joined you for this - I am still very inexperienced with my SLR and would loved to have had the opportunity to discuss and learn all things photographic - but unfortunately my wife is about to drop our first at any moment, with next Friday being the last allowed date. (Do you think she'd miss me on the Saturday? Mmm, perhaps!)
I did have another suggestion - what about photography from on the river - gives quite a good view on big ben and the eye as well as a lower perspective on the bridges - I'm sure there are still boats out to the thames barrier too - and then there are the warehouses, the dome, ... you get the picture (but only if you're quick!)
Given that the forecast for Sat is showery, I suggest we go somewhere that's partly indoors, so that we can shelter if it starts getting wet! Might be worth wandering around the museums in the South Kensington area (Science Museum, Natural History Museum, and the V&A), since theyre all free & allow cameras.

Some of you might enjoy the exhibit in the Natural History Museum of winners and finalists for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. There is an entrance fee of £6 for this room, btw.
Looks like it will just be 3 or 4 maybe sqeazing it to 5 of us.
if it does rain too much we might see the inside of a few bars maybe.

OK, since no-one else is, I suggest we meet up somewhere near the South Ken tube station, so that we don't have to walk very far. 11am would be a good time for me - I'm not an early morning person ;o) As for where exactly, I'm not sure...
I've managed to dig up La Brasserie, which is open on Sat mornings (not been there before tho), so we could just hang out at the bar there until everyone arrives...
