I cannot beleive that after 114 votes I have one comment... and it isnt even helpful. You have a week... slow down and actually help someone instead of clicking through numbers rapidly. If you're not going to comment, what is the point?
I do not mean to get all bent out of shape about this but it would be nice to know why what I think is an awesome shot is only sitting at 4.6 right now.
Dang, didn't catch the exact vote, but I suspect I got hit in the last 4 with a 1 or 2. Dropped nearly a tenth in 4 votes. Well, I guess it happens. Luckily, if it's a pot shot, you then tend to get to watch your score slowly climb back up.
but what is the further action? it looks like folks are still voting on my entry. do i ever get something back to let me know what happened? i think it was because i was stupid enough to submit a lensbaby (blurred by the lens) photo right after all the panning tada.
In your home page, if no editing rules were broken once the validation is completed you will get a notice under your entry that says something like "your submission has been validated". I haven't been DQd so I don't know what happens exactly.
I'm up to 9 comments. They are really funny how the comments contradict each other. Either they liked what I did or they didn't... (I guess the middle ground are those folks that didn't comment ;-) ).

They don't know exactly how many of each they have. He just took his score before and after he got a vote and figured it out. Unless there is some other way I don't know about. :D
Those of us who are super-geeks use an excel spreadsheet with the formula already in it, we just input the total score each time a new vote is entered, spreadsheet then tells what that person scored. Then sort by 5s, 6s, etc and easily tell how many of each you've gotten. Note: this method requires chronic insomnia....

Can't tell exactly, especially if more than 1 people vote in a certain period. Here is my formula:
(AVERAGE NOW * VOTERS NOW - AVERAGE BEFORE * VOTERS BEFORE) divided with (VOTERS NOW - VOTERS BEFORE).
Here is my 123 (similar to Excel): (B36*C36-B35*C35)/(C36-C35) where B column contains the average and C the number of voters.
If your average was 5 and 10 people vote, and now 12 people vote and your average is still 5, you could either got 2 x 5s or 1 x 4 and 1 x 6,... etc. And what if 10 people voted and your average was 5, then 10 people are shown again but average raised? That means someone changed his mind.
