I find your "for the record statement" inflammatory, and it was just a gentle suggestion to you to back off for a day or so and when you've cooled off that you come back and talk to SC in a more mannerly way.
Usually its better to not handle things when you are so angry, as it only makes you look bad when you are simply trying to make a point. I know, as i've posted in the forum when i should have walked away.
I have come to the conclusion that you can't make some people happy. I have deleted the picture, and I have apologized... yet it seems to not be enough.
That is ok, as I have done what was asked of me... therefore I can do no more. I feel much better now.
And muckpond.... there was no need for my thread, just as there is no need for this one. I just wanted to state my case... that is all. I think this one needs to be locked as well, and we can all move about our business. I must say - I've followed this thread for the past couple days. I will freely admit that I have been "abusing" people's pics on this site since day 1 - and yes, without their permission *gasp* - all for the sole purpose of the entertainment of the community here. In the 14 or so months I have been doing stuff like that, I have never received one complaint. In fact, I would bet that I can dig up many "LOL" type comments from folks whose pics I edited who have posted their outrage or opposition in this thread. It sure seems there is a growing number of whiny hypocrites on the site stirring up anger and discontent for no good reason.
So please excuse me if I don't lose any sleep over people leaving the site because they are offended by such trivial things. As one of the probably least respected photographers here (just one or two places above or below Strikeslip probly), I would guess that many folks would rather people like me go find somewhere else to play and keep this site an uptight, legalistic, photographically purist and artistically elitist place to hang out.

For what it's worth.. I'm kind of annoyed and offended that none of my photos *were* used in that thread. Doesn't anyone like me enough to want to use my stuff in parody? Am I to be doomed as the Musician that Weird Al didn't feel like knocking off?
