Roadrunner and librodo would be inspiring too. Librodo because if you want to take portraits that's how good you should be, and Roadrunner, because the welding together of portraits and landscapes is awesome. Love the skipping one Kel.
if i was to watch one member on this site, and i have done since joining under different a different user name from around 18 months ago, it would be JMSETZLER i find his work an inspiration, and i think his railroad images are some of the best i have seen. the thing i like best about johns images is that each image he take has a story, and he is more than happy to tell that story via his gallery or blog
There are so many good photogs here at DPC - we can learn something from just about all of them. I've been to a couple Yooper GTG's and really enjoyed shooting with alfresco - he's got a good eye for simple things in life and turning them into great shots. I like his high-contrast stuff the most. As for photogs I have yet to meet, but would love to go out shooting with or just watch them in action, the top three would be BradP, dustin03, and hieda. I really like what they shoot, and their post-processing. Oh - goota add a fourth - dsidwell does awesome landscapes. Would have to hang out there too.
Having watched so many DPCers shoot already (including several that are on the lists on this page), I've come to appreciate just how differently everyone's styles can be, and I've picked up different things from different people. Given this variation, I think it's only fair that my personal list is thus everyone I've not yet has a chance to shoot with! 62 down, 50000 to go... :o)
Tough tough question but if I go with subject matter that interest me the most at the moment, I'd have to say e301, rgo, jjbeguin, and librodo. So if any of you I list ever feel like having an assistant to run around, no doubt we can work out an arrangement ;) *hint*hint
David Sidwell (dsidwell) is my idol at DPC for landscape photography, my favorite. I've had the honor once briefly to take pictures with him and I'm left wanting for more.
The list of photographers from all genres that I absolutely idolize here at DPC is very, very long and I continue to be amazed, inspired and humbled by their incredible talents.
If I were in the Pacific Northwest, I'd have to choose Artyste, frisca, and zoomdak, for their phenomenal approaches to different genres of photography, and because they're just plain fun to talk with.
Ha, isn't that about every NW member except me?
No, Sir. There are about 15 - 20 of us NW folk here. Quite a talented bunch if you ask me.
