Is there a way to friend each other, or watch each other's blogs from our own blog pages? I can't seem to find such a feature, but I think it would be really nice :-) I'd love to link to some people's and watch their projects grow and maybe get them a little more traffic.

There is a links section, but I think at the moment the only way to add a link is to edit the template itself. I'm planning on starting a list there of everyone's blogs there once it's started, and I'll paste the HTML code in here if anyone else wants to use it :)
Okay, question...
I just want to upload photos exactly as they are, in DPChallenge format, ie 150kb 640pixels longest side.
I get the feeling that Blogger and Hello want to be too clever for their own good here.
What's the quick and easy way of uploading the photo with exactly the same size and compression as it is on my computer?
If you use the blogger bot, it automatically resizes to 640 and creates a smaller thumbnail with a border in the post (you click this to view the 640 image). I'm not sure what it does to the file size.
If you insert a photo in a new post on blogger dashboard, then I'm pretty sure it remains exactly as is in full view and creates a thumbnail for the post (that you would click on to view the full size original) based on your choice from a short list of options (it doesn't add a border to the thumbnail but gives you some size and placement options).
I've done both in my blog and the images look good in both cases. Most of the time I use the blogger bot because I like the borders (I went in and added them to the thumbnails that were done with dashboard) and I like my images at 640 to prevent theft (and if I haven't put it on dpc, then I probably haven't resized it myself). Bloggerbot's conversion to 640 seems to work just fine. I've never had anything look bad.

Yeah, you can edit the template to have pretty much whatever you want in that sidebar. It's pretty easy to do as long as you pay attention. I have no prior knowledge of html and had no trouble getting the bar to look exactly how I wanted it in my blog. In addition to customizing the links, I removed some stuff I didn't want and added a disclaimer about the rights on my photos.

This seemed like a great idea and I just went and downloaded Hello, my name there is the same as here so if anyone wants to friend...that's beyond cool. I'll be starting a blog soon-ish so I can get on track for the PAD 06.

It'd be good if everyone who is PADing could confirm here and say if they'd like to be added to the list of links or not too... Oh, and who is actually on Hello now?
I'm kinda considering trying to give every month for the PAD a theme....not that I'll HAVE to stick to it, but something to give the project cohesiveness and let me practice different techniques. If anyone's done a PAD before and thinks this is a horrible idea, I'd love the input.
Also, I've got a couple months that I can't think of a theme for, so any help with that would be great!!
