Why not change the name of that section to Rant & Rave since it seems to be used for both already. That way everyone can stop the "I know this isn't a rant, but I just wanted to congratulate ... "
i think it would be nice to have raves posted in the general discussion form. or, like kavey suggested in some other threads, have a separate congrats forum ... some people have the rant forum turned off (like me) and always miss the congrats, and i would like to congratulate our winners! :)
it would be great if congratulations could be posted in a place other than the "rant" forum. i would love to turn the rants off but also want to congratulate winners ...

I think that because of the rate the congrats are coming in at lately we need do a dedicated Congrats forum. Until then I agree that General Discussion would be a better place to post them than Rants.
Well from what I see and read it looks like people aren't happy with keeping their rants in the rants forum. They have to bring it to the general discussion forum. So I don't think it would hurt to put what ever where ever until it is worked out what goes where. Does that make sense?

would it be possible for the admins to move rants that are in the wrong forum into the rant forum and let people know that they should post in the appropriate forums? just a thought ...
