I have to say that the scoring on this challenge is absolutely ridiculous. IMO all the people with an under 5 average votes cast (you know who you are, or at least the rest of us do) and have staged pictures of coke cans or candy wrappers are trolling votes.

No, I'm not trying to point out any specific person. I don't even know who Nikolai is (will look up now). But if anyone thinks they are so good and everyone else is so bad to carry a 3.8 AVC I have to wonder. But then again I live in a country that elected a Bush not once, but 4 times and will give a drivers license to anyone who can make a 3-point turn, so what do I know.
I am so depressed. I thought my photo was good, not perfect. And each time I click the update button, it's lower. It has gone from 5.9 after 80 votes to 5.32 after 140 votes. That's the biggest score swing (up or down) I have ever noticed. I have an entry in Dead End that hoovers around 5.75 since monday.
It's like all high voters have voted on wednesday and since then, there's only low voters around.
I usually don't post in score threads, and it's my second post since yesterday :(. Watch out for my own dreadful "what was wrong with my photo" thread next week :).

Don't feel like the lone ranger. Mine started at a 6.8, and currently is edgeing twords 5.3, kind of like a hurricane zeroing in on some unexpecting city.
I think scores in general are going to be quite low for this challenge. Those in ribbon contention are most likely in the high 6's. I'll be very surprised if the top-3 will be 7+.
My score began on Wed morning above six and has also been decreasing steadily. I'm guessing I'll be in the eightieth percentile range.
I can't win on this one... some people say it's perfect and tell me that they gave me a 10 while others tells me the opposite... So it looks like my entry itself is garbage... but isn't that the name of the challenge? :)
