OMG, I forgot about On Golden Pond... When I first saw that I went with my mother and I was in high school (very much identifying with the kid in the flick). When we got home, Dad came out to the car to greet us and I ran out of the car literally bawling and threw my arms around him and he said, "Well I know I don't want to see that movie!" LOL
I get emotional at times, but rarely if ever cry. The one exception I can think of is There's Something About Mary. Right when Ben Stiller says goodbye to Tucker I lost it. :b
I AM an emotional man, no doubt about that. Ask my wife, LOL. But there are a lot of movies I cried at, some of which are mentioned here, but will remention a couple, It's a Wonderful Life, when the bell rings for Clarence especially, Field of Dreams - everytime, Yep, Finding Nemo got to me too, also Love Story, Nell, Old Yeller, Schindlers List, Ghost, Philidelphia, Beaches, Somewhere in Time, What Dreams May Come - and I thought I was one of only a few that loves that movie, Brians Song. Think Love Song when I first saw it was the worst, but not by much!! LOL
What Dreams May Come is an EXCELLENT flic... Definitely worthwhile endeavor. But take a box of Kleenex with you - you WILL need it. LOL I don't care if you're Charles Bronson - you ARE going to cry!
It's an old one (1939), but the final scene in 'Goodbye, Mr Chips' totally caught me off guard the first time I saw it. It was a morning matinee and I was late for work it left me in such a state!
An oldie Love Story I cry at everything though. I just sit and bawl every week watching Extreme Home Makeover. :) When my kids were little I would always cry at their plays and such. I always felt so stupid but couldn't control it.
My youngest got married a month ago and the big joke was about how mom would ruin all the pictures with her crying. I was so determined not to and didn't. I was so proud of myself. I hate being such a softy.
