I stopped taking pictures and wondered why???
I stopped caring and thought I was depressed -- I couldn't concentrate and wanted to sleep and couldn't eat... thought I might have an incurable disease. Turns out that even though I had my tubes tied a couple of years ago and have terrible scars all over my insides... I am pregnant.....1/2 of 1 % they tell me. Never happened to my doctor in 37 years of practice in OBGYN or his surgical history. This will be my third baby... I found out the day before my 30th birthday. So all in all I would have to say --- for 30 -- I still got it.... yes I do.

Thanks to everyone... I wasn't really hoping to have more kids... my son is a real handful...I mean really crazy - hyper and challenging. But I do believe in miracles and they are never what you expect. They always seem to blindside you. I laughed when I found out -- said this one had better be a famous kid. Strangley enough I thought of Katie Holmes. I read somewhere that she was a tiny premie and they thought she wouldn't make it. Now we all know who she is and she makes people smile and laugh. So there is always a reason. There is a strange thing to this though. Seems as though the doctors think I conceived around the time of my dead fathers birthday. He has only been gone since feb 2004. And the true reason I am pregnant is that my 7 year old, knows that I had my tubes tied, but she prayed every night anyways. She said that she asked God to give us a baby that looked like her mom. Both my kids are gorgeous -- they are mexican and irish. So they are slightly lighter in color with medium brown hair and brown eyes. But I am the only one in my family with green eyes. My parents had blue and so did my brothers and almost everyone else. She said she would like someone with curly hair like mine as well as green or colored eyes. She is the true culprit and someone upstairs was listening. I will have to let everyone know what the outcome is.
That's a pretty cool story. 30's not too old by a long shot. My wife had our first girl at 32 and our second at 35. I'm sure your latest addition will make you smile and laugh. Congrats! :-D
I always heard if you want to make God laugh...make plans! I had 13 years between my two daughters. My firstborn when I was 20 and my second at 33. There are pluses and drawbacks to both (having more energy vs. having more experience), but I can't imagine life without them both.
The nice thing about a pregnancy like yours...you pretty much know this will be your last so you have the opportunity to really enjoy it more. Remember all the feelings associated with it. My only regret was that I didn't have any maternity photos taken. You should do that, even if it's only for your memories and your viewing.

Congrats without hesitation Sharla. It's a few years off but I think that 7 year old owes you mucho babysitting time so that you can go out and shoot beautiful pictures.
