i think this challenge is about the noise grain not the cereal, wheat barley kinda grain. It should be a good excercise for all of us neat image addicts out there. I know I used to be one, now in my recovery phase :-)
Seems like they are deliberately choosing difficult titles!! My first thought was what kind of grain wheat etc or a grainy photo maybe a grainy photo of wheat!!
Titles are often ambiguous particulalrly to encourage as broad an exploration of the topic as possible. The "challenge" here is supposed to include creativity, not just technical prowess.
As usual, I suspect that my entry (and a few others) will "go against the grain."
I wouldn't score photos with grain/noise lower but I really think they are refering to the cereal or wood grain.
If they meant grain/noise why wouldn't they just say noise!
I vote for film grain:) I am thinking B&W & grainy and gritty and... I think I am saying to much.
Of course, I will be open to different viewpoints... but it will be hard for someone to work a sunset into this challenge:) And for all those photos of cereal in cereal bowls, take them at ISO 1600 is my suggestion:)

Probably right but who cares some people will submit grain as in texture and some will submit grain as in the cereal, no one is right or wrong, as long as we don't have the "does not meet the challenge" Nazi's giving low scores.
it doesnt state what type of grain so i will vote on either grain objects or a grainy photo, but most people complain about grainy photos so either the champs will pull something off really good or there will be alot of crap for photos.
