I know - I was there a couple years ago. The view from the top of the tower was amazing. Now I'll just have to start a thread for airline ticket sponsorship!
Let's seeeeeeeeeeeeeee, 4.5 hours away, on a Saturday, nothing else planned, chance to see Joey in person so I can slap him upside his head for being the influence that he has been on my young impressionable daughters, I'm sure his father would understand but then having to be back to make the outing in Ithaca on Sunday..................
Sorry, would love to do it, even make a whole weekend out of it sometime but not this time.......

So Slip where are we meeting / what time? Is there a big entrance or anything? I havn't been there in ages... :-(
as long as people know where to look. If we're going to be at the zoo at the same time, we can meet right outside or inside. That gives us time to get to the tigers, and set up for any shots we want to take. The Zoo entrance large, but not overly so. right inside is the zoo mobile to the left along with a small cage with an eagle in it, a store for souveniors to the right.

I think by the Siberian tigers would be good. That way there's something to do other than stand around by a gate.
I think trouble might be in. As for a meeting place I would suggest meeting right outside the front gate at 9:45am so people will know who everybody else is. I would also go one further and suggest stopping somewhere and getting a Tim Horton's coffe and holding it in their right hand to say "hi I'm from DPC and cannot adjust my white balance because I have a coffee in my hand. Could you do it for me???" might work.
I was there last Sat and met with 10 photogs from TPMG just outside the ticket booths. The place was not crowded and it was easy to spot people esp those lugging backpacks, tripods and cameras around their necks. We met outside the gate since others were not sure if they were coming and rsvp'd "maybe" so we waited a little longer and at around 10:30 we went in. Others still showed up after that time but we had the cell phone number of the organizer and others too. It helped and convenient to locate everyone when we got separated.
So I guess inside or outside the gate shouldn't be a problem. What time are we meeting?
