I didn't read all the responses from this post (to many, lol). So, if I say something said, I apologize. I was born and raised in NYC. I'll bet there are quite a few here that were too. I don't live there now, but I can suggest a few real nice places for photo ops. Lemme just say that the Chrysler bui;ding you listed at the beginning may not be open. As long as I can remember, it is closed on the weekends.
1)Grimaldi's Pizzeria
19 Cadman Plaza W in Brooklyn. It sits a block off the water right under the Manhattan Bridge. Great view at night of lower east side of Manhattan. Plus, they have darn good pizza. But, get there early, lines get long starting at 4:00PM
2)Grennwich Village - Some of those older brownstones and cobblestone streets are real eye pleaser's.
3)Lower East Side - From Houston Street to 10th Street, East of 3rd Avenue.
4)Upper West Side - From 56th Street up to Columbia University (maybe not that high)
Let's not forget Central Park, Times Square, Battery Park, etc etc etc...Those places always have something you haven't seen before. To bad I can't be there.
Post em up when you can. I'd love to see different perspectives of NY.

well I posted on the 1st page of this posting to see if any people were interested in 2 group outings. One group for Saturday or One group for Sunday cause I will going both Saturday and Sunday.
So thats both the 8th or 9th which ever you can make.
Saturday is not good for me, although the arches are only a few blocks way so anyone going there is certainly invited to breakfast or lunch at my cafe. I'll be free after 3 so maybe i could catch up with you. Ryan, you know where i am so stop by with the group. SUNDAY, however, I would probably be free so the city sounds good to me! Chrysler bldg. The theatres at Times Sq. were on the open list too! Also I'm dying to go to the top of the Empire State Bldg (not on the list be always open, for a fee). So who's game for what!?
well ok Zap228, maybe next time, ok CeeDeez I can put you on for sundays list ok and Empire State Building sounds cool, hope fully we can miss the rain.
