Well, lets see....before I shot professionally I worked in a pro photo lab. the worst day there was the day the big dip & dunk film processor bent a film rack in the middle of a run. (Of course, loading & running that thing was my job) It's not easy getting it back on track in pitch black but we did. (Boss & I) and got everything through but one roll of 120 by babysitting and hand timing & cranking it for over an hour in the dark. the one lost roll spent about 45 minutes in the bottom of the developer by the time we found it. thank goodness for pro grade film...I managed to print black & whites from it but it was a goner for color. good thing, it belonged to a pro wedding photographer (and fortunately very good friend of my boss)
during MY careeer, the time I dropped my camera on the concrete floor while shooting a horse show...thank goodness for my back-up lens. (camera kept working, somehow but I used a friends camera ,just in case, to finish the show)
...and the most recent: shooting a wedding for one of me best friends as my gift to her (I usually only do horse related events) I had been shooting indoors at 800 ISO during the reception and we went outside for some formals. I fogot to change the camera and ended up with 5 totally blown out photos of my friend, her husband, her stepmom & two brothers who flew 1500 miles to be there. I caught it after just they left and the rest of my pix were fine. fortunately I had taken others of them inside but they were not near as pretty as what I could have had. |
