Sorry, I wasn't taking it as a personal attack either :). I just realised I couldn't speak in general terms about this, only give my own opinion. I'm sure there are people who don't see photos the way I do, who will only take the time to question their judgement of a photo if they're told it was taken by some famous artist (although, based on some previous threads here, they're usually more likely to attack the photo as something their kid could do with a point and shoot camera... or something). But the status of the photographer as a well known artist really has no bearing on the way I (or a lot of the other people who have participated in these threads) judge photos.
