It's funny what you have done. It would be especially funny if it were directed toward a seasoned internet user who was familiar with the ways of the world (Like the woman who pirated Kiwiness's image, for example). However, in trying to be objective, I can remember being of an age (17) and mindset where this particular action would have been purely innocuous.
Honestly, I think your efforts might be wasted on this particular young lady.
You are a suberb photographer and I hope you continue to focus your skills on making beautiful images and not exacting revenge on naive teenagers.
She probably would have learned a lot had you taken the time to inform her about her faux paus. I guess I'll contact her and let her know.

If she ever checks her email. Funny what a small world it is. I just realized that she is from the same town as my husband. Of course he is 20 years her senior and wouldn't dream of stealing bandwidth.

I believe the distinction here is not that she was linking to an image, but that she was direct-linking an image from Riot's site onto her site, which is not just taking the photo, but also using bandwidth.
Though we are all capable of going out and taking more extraordinary photos, most of us pay for our hosting and bandwidth and often have caps on it or will be charged for exceeding set limits.
Think of it like wardriving - someone can come and use my wireless acess and that'd be fine if it were my neighbor whom I like, but if a bus full of folks parked outside or a spammer decided to set up a business, that's not cool.
I'm finding bandwidth pirates don't really care so much if my photos are good, they're just looking for shots that illustrate whatever point they're trying to make at the moment.

I must do this for my site, I've noticed folks are hotlinking some of my sports stuff, although they have 'PROOF' an copyright watermarks.. It's the principle of the thing.

There's more to it than the principle of the thing, they're using your bandwidth which is not cheap.
I do not think that these people should be stealing your bandwidth, but how different is the Who beats who thread that is almost 700 posts long? I know that the thread will die out at some point, but is stealing a little bandwidth OK?
