Bottom line I suck, lesson learned- never enter a last second entry when you're tired and sick. My one and only comment totally reflects that, noticing an error that I even double checked.
Finally broke into the 5s ... I must say that first night voters are kinda mean... when you start low, you have to "claw" your way back up slowly ... but surely :(
I have 55 votes. Only 3 comments, and one is from a non-member that couldn't vote. Sure would like more comments. I guess those will come later in the week.
My entry was more of an emotive image and not technically great as I normally strive for. Almost withdrew it a few times, but it has a strong meaning. To me anyway. Hoped others would feel it too.

Yeah that first night is a bit harsh. I think the first night voters are ones that entered the challenge and are a little hard to please for whatever reason.
I was up over 5.02 and now sliding back to the 4.9's again. I'm beginning to wonder. I didn't rate anything below a 4 and knowing I have some 10's (because people stated it), I must have some 1's and 2's as well? I don't understand people's motivation for such low scores. It meets the challenge, it is clear, it is not typical. Oh well......
I'll hit the update button a few more times and see if I'm pleasantly surprised. Come on folks, I need a boost!!! :~)
I cannot vote because I am not a member (no international credit card or checking account), but have seen all the entries for D&L and made over 20 positive comments. I feel this challenge has the highest percentage of well composed, interest-filled shots of any I have seen here since becoming active in May of this year. Bravo!
I get slightly better with each challenge... I guess thats the point.. so I hope that entering more than one contest at a time will help me get better twice as fast. I hope.
That's the point. Keep on shooting and you'll get better. I did and still struggle here on DPC. Doesn't bother me though because as long as somebody likes it, that is all I care about. Great shots everyone!!!
