Ok. See, Terry beat me to it ;) But I'm going with mine anyway.. It's a little choppy in parts, but good enough for it being almost 1am my time!
This is to the tune of Gilligan's Island:
Just sit right down and start logging in, log onto your favorite site. It's run by two snazzy guys, who developed it over night. Drew is a mighty media-man, Langdon's a man of few words. The users take pictures each day, with the rule of thirds, the rule of thirds. The voting started getting tough, the volume caused some frets If not for talented DPCers we'd get stuck, with flowers, kids, and pets; flowers, kids, and pets. Leave comments, vote, and submit photos that are digital. with Mr. Jim, John Setzler too, the Kermiiiiiii, and his flag, Arni's toaster, the Hokie-man, and Karen Bryan here on DPC's forum!!
So this is the tale of our addiction, we're here for a long long time. We have to check our score all day, it should be a crime. Drewmedia and Langdon too, still do their very best, to make things easy as can be, in their weekly contest. No Filters, no borders, no large files, not a single spot-edit. Are allowed on DP Challenge, it's primitive as can be. So join us here each week my friend, you're sure to get a comment. From several hundred photographers, here on DP Challenge!
I'm sorry to tell you guys, but the standards have just been raised:
18: You tell everybody on DPC when it's you're birthday 19: You cry yourself to sleep when your photo only makes second place 20: Your camera has your fingerprints engraved into its sides 21: The finger you use to take pictures is constantly twitching 24/7 22: You carry around a mainframe computer to store all of your images 23: You get a cable modem just so dpc will load faster 24: You have a closet full of cameras-all of them broken from wear and tear 25: You spend more money on your camera than you do your house and car combined 26: You throw your camera away when you think you see a dead pixel 27: You use 35mm film to wipe your @ss 28: Circuit City and Best Buy go out of buisiness because you've bought EVERYTHING they have 29: Your saving up money to buy the Hubble telescope and aim back to earth to get some REALLY cool macros 30: You and a team of other (addicted) photographers come up with thirty rules to see if your addicted to DPC.
Is that enough? I think I'll go to bed now...why is the sun out? Where did my family go? Who put this 'condemned' sign on my window?! Why is this window the only part of my house still standing?!?! somebody has some explaining to do...

16. It''s your birthday and your family/friends want to take you out for a nice dinner at a great restaurant but you say that you have work to do and need to take a raincheck (work=hanging around the dpc)
Terry, is it really your birthday or is this one of those bar talk overtures in an attempt to get oldtimers to speak to a newbie??? just joking. :)
Yes it really was my B day but it did get me on the map here in DPC land.
31. It''s your birthday and you come home from a nice dinner with the family and head straight to the computer afraid of what you might have missed.

This thread is hilarious. And I thought I was the only one who had these 'feelings' .. :)
Now I know that if I can't make it in the real world, there exists a special DPC island that I can go, and spend the rest of my days eating tapioca, while checking my score, submitting photos, and posting about people's disturbing childhood toys :) ...
32. you wait at home for the next score update even though that means you'll be late for work and you could've checked there to ... but only 15 minutes after it was posted.
35. You carry a laptop with you on ''vacation'' specifically and only so you can dial up from your remote island location to submit your picture...and you''ve done this more than once :-)

36. you realize by the way you hop out of the computer chair as you hear footsteps coming down the stairs in your home that you are becoming a binge/closet dpc'er.
37. you catch up on the latest forum and marvel at the new format - only to wake up and realize it was a dream.
48. You suffer severe depression if there is no change in your score after an update because no one new has voted on your photo. You feel as though the last hour of your life was wasted.
OMG...I've hit rock bottom and am in need of immediate intervention. This isn't even funny.
#59 You're watching a news update on a horribly tragic situation and you actually notice that some guy at the crime scene has a really nice camera with a zoom lens you've been coveting.
