Originally posted by martinwoods_uk: Hi everyone, I like a lot of the textures images this week, the only thing I found whilst voting was that quite a number of people had confused texture with form. There are some very structural images of buildings and close up views of flowers and insects/butterflies which whilst they are nice shots and have great colour seem to me to focus on the form of the subject rather than the texture. We all know that some of these objects have unusual texture if we could look close enough but to be rated highly this week I think we actually have to be able to determine the texture in the image. what do you think?
Hi again, I'm glad others see it the way I do (for a change) I didn't thimk it was enough for us to be able to imagine the texture in animage or even worse be told were to look by the title of the shot, personally I wouldn't have titles shown during voting, if the image doesn't say it then the title shouldn't be allowed to. I think this topic may have been taken onto a more specific level in the thread about deer antlers, I tried not to mention individual images in my original posting. Well done to you all anyway, when I am brave enough to submit a pic instead of just comments I will have more forum cred :-)
