For an interesting day out, you can go to the Wimbledon tennis - queue in the morning takes a couple of hours to get through for tickets to the outside courts (where you can walk around generally). Tennis starts at around midday.
There are 500 tickets for each of the main stadiums (centre court, no.1 and no.2 courts) on sale each morning, though you would have get there very early to get one of these (v early hours of morning).
