I don't get it - if you expected to get DQed, why would you submit the photo? Sounds like you knew it wasn't legal but submitted it anyway. If you hadn't been DQed and perchance made it to the final three, would you have admittted your indescretion or just taken the ribbon and shut up?

I don't think he meant "as expected" as you think he does. You've got to learn SJ's style of self-depreciating humor.
SJ Really sorry to hear you got DQ'D and even more so about your son. Depression is a very difficult thing! It seems like a lot of people are getting DQ'D, so don't feel bad. Sometimes people forget about the date setting, happened to us before. Keep your chin up and Good Luck with everything!

I notice the number of entries has gone from 151 to 147...now can you all just DQ yourselves so that I can win by default..otherwise the voodoo doll is coming out..I have one for each of you...so be warned;)
I'm curious, why would a differebt photos score go up because a photo was DQ'd? I can see it moving UP on the ladder of placings, but I don't see how it would affect the score itself.
Your take is correct. The score isn't impacted by other photo DQ's.
