As I go through these images and vote I'm finding the quality is going up, for the most part. I was always under the impression that images are shown here in random order but it seems like the more thought out ones are further along.

I got that same feeling when I was voting Light on White. Hope you come to mine last, LOL.

NCZ = No Comment Zone.
It always seems like the images grouped around the middle of the scoring spectrum get no comments, or very few, usually something like 4.5 to 5.2.

You usually are able to pick mine out of the crowd. You know this area too well! LOL
I'd be very happy with a top ten finish. I haven't been able to participate much in the last year, but I'd like to get back into it now that things aren't as busy as they were. A top ten would give me lots of motivation again!

5.3 It's strange, I have two photos which scored better in the billboard and signs challenge which are not near the quality of photo this one is.
That is not unusual. That is because of intangible factors like the "meet the challenge" syndrome and the "wow" factor. Those can overcome technical quality at this site. My highest scoring image is not my best either.

Makes me laugh. Billboards is my bete noir, my highest-scoring image and it's no more than a snapshot. Fingers crossed that my Ansel is gonna bump that one down:
I just wanna say that voting in the AA challenge is very difficult. They are all excellent photographs! I was just struck by the beauty of our world. Amazing photos everybody. AMAZING! It's a tough desicion, and I haven't the slightest clue who may win this one!

There are plenty of good examples you can quickly find with a Google images search. He has a very distinctive style that is easily distinguishable from other B&W photography. Great images of his style in this challenge are being overlooked.

It's not really broken. The time updates. It's just that every Wednesday after the new open challenge debuts the voting on member challenges comes to a standstill. (I know it'll pick back up again, but I'll probably have to wait until Friday before I see any new comments.)
