Really disappointed beacuse I loved the shot I took, if this score stays low this will be my first '4.xx' score in the last 15 challenges or so, what a bummer. I guess the image doesnt have that mass appeal.
My entry was not quite last minute...but close. I had no idea until saturday and editeid it in about 30 seconds. I am doing a bit better than i had expected, proving you cannot predict teh DPC voter's action.

Since my faceless pic, which i really like, bombed (4.43 & 11% finish) I need a pick me up!
My 2004 pic is at 5.21. A tad above my 2004 average. If only i finish decently percentage wise.
I, too, started out in the high sixes, but have fallen, and fallen, and fallen. Still, it was experimental so I am actually quite pleased. Could have been brown ribbon material. I tend to dance of the edge rather than the mainstream in my photographs and my writing so I have no one to blame but myself. It's not like I don't know what I should be doing. Alas, (even though I don't yet own one) I am forever the rebel. Onward: one day I may just hit the right nerve. Who knows?

Not only is this my first photo ever to score over 6 (which is really exciting for me) but the comments I've recieved are great and its my second fav I've ever gotten. Im really psyched.

The last 4 votes have dropped it .35 and it continues to slide so I guess I'm not going to do well at all. I went for subtle which I'm quickly finding out is not a good idea at DPC. I love the photo though so I'm actually pretty happy, even if no one else does.
A great challenge and the best I have seen to date. So many sixes, sevens, and eights, with a some memorable nines and tens! My entry 'pales' by comparison!
I have not seen the images yet, but I personally wasn't happy with my submission as it is a last minute job just to get it in. The 4.8 average is better than I expected.
I just went through and made a first pass. Thee are soooo many good images, its going to be a high scoring challenge. My 5.89 is going to put me about half way I think ;-)

I think people may have been turned off by the full exposure of the mans legs... I used the same idea as you but executed differently, I placed a little higher, but got feedback that the pants should be down, I guess it's all a matter of opinion:

Wow, what a downhill spiral for my photo. This morning, I was at 6.50, now am at 5.96.
Of course you're in a downhill spiral. As people find out their photos aren't averaging "7" like they expected, it's time to vote 4 or 5 across the board.
