I was asked to take a family portrate for a friend to turn into their Christmas card this year. The photoshoot went fine and they were happy with the pictures. We designed the card on Shutterfly.com but when the cards came in the mail they were grainy and the colors were way off! The photo prints fine on my printer at home and at Walmart so I think the trouble is on Shutterfly's side. We have been working with their customer service folks but so far with no luck. They are quite friendly but after three attempts they just don't seem to be able to print a decent looking card.
Does anyone have any experience with making Christmas cards from photos? The family I am working with is looking for a high quality folded card (not available at Walmart). The one available at Shutterfly would be perfect if they could just get the colors right.
Any suggestions?
