I can only apologize for not having chimed in much earlier to this thread. I don't spend much time reading in the forums. When the name Graphicfunk shows up, it is always valuable information and worth the read. Im glad to see I'm not the only one who appreciates the value you bring to DPChallenge.
I think Dan is one of the few people on this site who can go through all the top 20 photos in every challenge and write two lines of encouragement and congratulations, not to mention the comments he leaves in the challenge itself. Thats something I would never have the ability to do!
I never thought I would receive such an acknowledgement, but think about it, it is you folk's that have inspired me. It is really your talent and your creativity. Believe me you are a special breed because you have joined a wonderful site where the element is that of competition. I can not tell you how you have amazed me with your images and the pleasure to follow the improvement of many of you. I can not think of a better pastime than partaking in the unfoldment of your wonderful images. And no, you need not have a ribbon to take a killer image. So my respect and affection go out to all of you. Included in my good wishes are also my political rivals.
A little late for "graphicfunk Appreciation Day" but never-the-less, thanks for all the detailed comments, the encouragement, and the congrats. You are truely appreciated. May you enjoy your day (today as well)!
