These are great! I went through the whole slide show. Your composition is consistenly wonderful! Looks like y'all had a great time, and you got some really cool shots out of it!!
Silly me, I stayed out way too late (we left Santa Monica around 12 and I finally got to bed around 1). Needless to say I was quite out of it all day but somehow managed to get my work done. What suffered was my ability to remain awake in the evening hours to post-process my photos. That will have to wait another day, I suppose. Tomorrow, perhaps?
Lots of great shots, Arie! I really liked the ones of the tide pools. Next time we'll go in the daytime so I can get some similar ones.

I'd love to join you all again next time I'm in the LA area. I'm already planning for a trip back to Joshua Tree sometime, it's awesome.

I hate to exclude Ventura & OC, but we should come up with a shorter name for our group, ya think? And LA DPC is very general, but excludes some people, no? Any thoughts? Remember, we still gotta grab the attention of the forum readers who have yet to join us! :) heehee

How about the SoCal DPC Group? That way you could maybe encourage occasional participation from folks in San Diego, since it's only 2 hours away...
Thought about that, but if we start planning trips for SoCal, then we might end up traveling to their area a lot more too.. It could get too costly. I think centering around LA (with the surrounding Counties) is preferable for me to go anyhow. As, this needs to be a virtually inexpensive hobby for me as my husband is a full time student and we are broke! :)
Also, we the San Diegons (?) are always welcome to join us, but I think they could have their own groups going on there. Perhaps once a year the two could meet up for one big adventure!
I know you, coming from so far, don't mind the traveling, but it's sometimes hard to get us all to meet up even an hour away. :(
